FAQ.

everything I'd want to know before booking.

General.

How do I book?

The fastest way is the online booking page; you'll see live availability and can pay your deposit there. If you want to talk through options first, send a note via the contact form and I'll get back to you within a day.

Where is the studio?

The exact address is shared once your appointment is confirmed. The studio is private and by-appointment-only, with parking available right outside.

What's the cancellation policy?

A small non-refundable deposit is required to hold your appointment, and it's applied to your final balance. I ask for 48 hours' notice for cancellations or reschedules. Anything less than 24 hours forfeits the deposit, simply because the studio time can't be filled that quickly. Things happen; reach out as soon as you can and we'll figure it out.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit cards, debit, and bank transfer. Cash is welcome but not required. Payment plans are available on request for the bigger services; just ask at consult.

Can I bring someone with me?

Of course. The studio is small but I always make space for a friend or partner. Lots of clients like having someone there for the longer appointments. Kids under 12 might find it a bit boring; happy to talk through options if that's a constraint.

Brows.

Does microblading hurt?

Most clients describe it as a light scratching sensation, less than a tattoo. I apply numbing cream before we begin and refresh it throughout the session. If something feels uncomfortable, tell me. We slow down or stop until you're ready.

How long does it last?

Most people see beautiful results for 12 to 18 months. The annual refresh keeps them looking crisp. Skin type, sun exposure, and skincare habits all factor in. Oily skin tends to fade faster.

What if I don't like the shape?

This is why we spend the first part of the appointment mapping with a pencil. Nothing permanent happens until you've seen the shape on your face and approved it. You can ask for tweaks at any point during the mapping. That's the whole point of the step.

Can I still wax or thread my brows?

Yes, but wait at least two weeks after your initial session and touch-up. After that, you can wax or thread the stray hairs outside your brow shape as normal. I usually suggest a quick clean-up appointment with me once a year alongside your refresh.

Lips.

Will my lips look really bright at first?

Yes, for the first 2 to 3 days, lips look noticeably brighter than your final color. They'll soften by about half as they heal. By week six, you've reached your true tone. I show before-and-after photos at the consult so you can see what to expect.

I have darker / pigmented lips. Is lip blush an option for me?

Almost always, yes. Naturally pigmented lips just take a different approach. We start with a neutralizing tone and build to your final color in two or sometimes three sessions. Send a clear photo of your lips in natural light through the contact form and I'll give you an honest answer before you book.

Do I have to stop using lip products?

For the first week of healing, only the balm I send you home with. After that, normal lip products are fine, though daily SPF on lips is the single biggest thing you can do to keep the color from fading.

What if I have a cold sore history?

You'll need to take an antiviral medication for a few days before and after your appointment. Your doctor can prescribe it once you have your appointment date. Lip blush can otherwise trigger an outbreak. We'll talk through this at the consult.

Tan.

How should I prep?

Exfoliate the day before. Skip lotions, oils, deodorant, and perfume on the day. Wear loose, dark clothing, and ideally bring flip-flops. Shaving or waxing? Do it at least 24 hours before so the pores have closed.

Will the tan look orange?

Not with what I use. I custom-blend every tan to your specific undertone (warm, cool, or neutral) and adjust depth based on your natural skin tone. The result reads as a natural sun-warmed glow, not a Doritos finger.

How long does a spray tan last?

Seven to ten days, fading evenly with good aftercare. Long hot showers, swimming pools, and harsh body washes will shorten it. The custom-blend tan tends to last a day or two longer than the classic.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Loose, dark, and easy to peel off. No bras, jeans, or tight necklines until you've rinsed off the next day. Flip-flops are ideal; anything that won't rub the tan off as you walk out.

Can I get a spray tan if I'm pregnant?

Generally yes. The solution sits on the skin and doesn't penetrate. That said, I always recommend checking with your doctor first, and we avoid the face for the first trimester. Lots of clients book pre-baby-shower or pre-bump-photos tans.
